Some fast facts: I'm American & Canadian, I was born in the 90s, and I'm a grad student studying something related to computers.
In case you couldn't tell I kinda love being vague.
About This Site
I have been interested in the indieweb, retro web, yesterweb, whatever you want to call it for a while now. I kept saying I would make my own site and join this whole ecosystem.
The current dystopic tech oligarchy really accelerated my plans to make my own independent website. Honestly, getting back into "fandom" also inspired me.
I want to have some fun online, not worry about professionalism or SEO or my personal consumer preferences being catered to. I want to create, not just consume.
I've been coding HTML and CSS for over half my life (since I tried to make tumblr themes) and I absolutely love it, but I realized I haven't played around with writing a whole page in vanilla HTML and CSS any time recently.
If you're reading any of this and you relate, but don't know how to make your own website, here is a handy guide.
